A few weeks ago, Slade gave us a scare. He was so lethargic and gloomy. We were very concerned and almost took him to the doctor to have is blood checked. But, I decided instead of that, we were just going to change his diet. It has been a miracle! He has so much more energy and actually got in trouble at school. (Which we don't want to happen, but wow!) I have had this cookbook, "Deceptively Delicious" for a few years. I finally read it and made tons of purees. I sneak them in his food every meal. Now, Slade is not allowed to have sugar like he used to. Of course, he still has things like syrup on his waffles and he gets a juice box during school, but no more honey buns, sweet tea, and cake. We are also starting to eat more organic and whole wheat. The change is amazing, I can't believe we have not this sooner.
When Slade told us he got into trouble at school, he kind of snuck it in the conversation. We were sitting at dinner and he said, "Sometimes you have to sit on the curb at recess, and it is really boring." Billy and I just looked at each other and asked him if he had to sit out. And he told us, "Yes, but only 3 minutes, Garrett had to sit out 5. And, this was in last week mom, not today." Billy is soo pumped that he got in trouble that now every day he ask him if he had to sit out.
Brant is a big ol' mess! We are still trying to potty train him, and the other morning they both woke up at 5:55 to go to the bathroom. I was so tired I just let them go, and wouldn't you know I did not hear a single drop of pee hit the water. When I walked in the bathroom, there was pee on the walls, on the toilet lid, and about an inch of it on the floor. YUCK!! I think I am going to ban all boys to one bathroom. I hate cleaning up pee, especially at 5:55 in the morning. But, Brant was so excited he peed and not in his diaper, I just had to give him tons of hugs and kisses.
