Oh Glorious Day!

Slade accepted Jesus into his heart last summer during Adventure Week.  We have waited over a year for us to feel totally confident that he actually understood what it meant. Last summer when we picked him up from AW and he had the little card that said he said the prayer, I just wanted to cry, shout for joy, and dance to praise Jesus for it! Over the year, we would talk with him, pray with him, and complete his book called, I am a Christian Now. He understands what it means and also that being baptized is a way to publicly show people he is a Christian.  

The big day finally came and Slade was so excited. Even his Sunday school class came to watch. He was cute, he would look out and wave at them and say hi!! Billy baptized him and it was so special. Billy cried, I cried, the whole church cheered! We have never been more proud!!! Brant was so funny too, he was so excited and proud!

Cowboy game

Billy and Slade got to go to the cowboy game this past weekend. They went with their friends Cody and Cayden. Slade absolutely loved it and Billy said that Cayden and Brant enjoyed people watching. There were Santas and elves at the game. Slade told Billy that I could be one of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders.  Brant was so sad, he kept on asking when they would be back. He did not like being left out. 

Friday Night Lights

We have started to watch Friday Night Lights on Netflix. Everyone has told us we need to watch it, and we finally caved. The other night the Dillon Panthers were on the Semi Final round of the playoffs. They were playing a team named the Brant Vikings. Brant was so excited and wanted the Vikings to win soooo badly. Well, they ended up losing of course because the whole show is about the Dillon Panthers, not the Brant Vikings. Brant was so upset. It was kinda funny. He cried and cried. 

We love our quilts!

Mere made everyone a quilt for Christmas. Brant loves going into Mere's sewing room and seeing all of her creations. She knows that they love all about space and their quilts are space quilts. 

Brant will eat cereal with MILK!!

Brant decided to try CTC with milk!!! well he really didn't decide to try, Billy forgot to feed him dinner. Then at 10 o'clock at night he said he was hungry so I told him he had to eat CTC with milk. He was very hesitant about the first bite but then he loved it and ate it all! He even drink the milk at the end. This is a huge step. He never wants milk in his cereal!

This was my room key when I was in Alabama last week. Slade absolutely loves dogs and I saved it for him. He thought it was awesome!
