BASEBALL

We had the best day today!  I love baseball season and watching my sweet boys play ball.  We had a full day.  It started with opening ceremonies.  Brant was recognized for winning the World Series this summer.  We had to be there at 8:30! Yuck! On a Saturday.  I got up at 6:30 to make sure we had everything ready.  The ceremony went great.  We were able to come home and take a quick nap and have lunch.  Then, we had to be back at 2:30 for Slade's pictures.  Brant's pictures were at 4:15.  Then we had their games at 4:30 and 5:40.  Slade did great!  He got to pitch and struck 3 people out!  We were so excited. He even got a good hit!!!  Slade won 8-7.

Brant did awesome as well!!!  He is playing outfield because he is so good at catching balls and getting them in.  Today he caught two pop flies!  He even made an unbelievable throw from outfield to home! He held the guy at third.  But, the best thing happened! He got the game ball!!! I have never seen him so excited.  He held that ball all the way home.  When we got home, he had me write on it "in cursive".  We put the date, game ball, and how he earned it.

It was a good day. Steel was a trooper!  He loved to just look around and see what was going on.

Houston!!!

I had to go to Houston this week for work.  It was very stressful and I was so worried!  I chewed off all my nails that I had been growing for the past month and a half.  My mom came with me and we brought Steel.  We thought we had it all prepared, but we forgot a stroller!!! My mom was stuck in the hotel room for the first day!  She was going mad.  So, that night we went to Babies R Us and bought an umbrella stroller.  The next day she was able to get out and walk all around the neighborhood.  He was so happy. He loved going on walks.  It was so different to travel with a baby.  I brought three sets of workout clothes, but did not work out once!  Very different.  We made it three days!  It was better than I thought, but I am so glad that it is over.   The ride home was fine, but Steel cried the whole last hour and a half.  He did not like to be in the car seat!

Before I left, Brant had me take a power pose of him, so I would not forget what he looked like.  I love his little freckles. I talked to them every night, and it broke my heart to be away from them.

Cowboy Day

Brant had cowboy dat at school this past week. He was so cute. He wanted a bandanna so badly that he had Mere make him one, but he did not want to wear cowboy boots.  he said they would slow him down for any of the races he would do.  He was so cute!

Sweet baby snuggles

Little Steel Jack is the happiest, sweetest baby in the world.  He will smile and coo at anyone.  He loves his big brothers and will just watch them all the time.  When he eats, he will put his hand over his face like, "Oh.. It is so hard to be a baby".  We love him so much, and we are so glad he is in our family.
