Halloween Costumes

I took the boys to get Halloween costumes the other day. Last year Billy got mad at me because I bought Slade a pirate outfit that was too small. So I had to take pictures and send them to Billy to get his approval. Slade either wanted to be an Air Force pilot or a Jedi. Brant wanted to be a Power Ranger. We found the costumes at target and the boys were so excited! The first thing they did when they got home was get in their costumes. The next morning, Brant woke up and the first thing out of his mouth was, "Can I put on my costume. He wore it the next day to take Slade to school. He is so funny.

Mud Run!

Slade and I participated in the mud run this past weekend. I did the 5K and he did the kids one-mile. He did so awesome. He ran the entire time and even slid in the mud and went down a huge slide in the water. I was so proud of  him. There were only 4 kids in the race and Slade finished 2nd!!  Poor brant wanted to do it, but you had to be 5. He would of stopped far away and got stuck. During my run, Billy let them throw mud and play in a big mud pit.  That was really fun for Brant. He also went on one of the obstacles where you had to climb a hill with the rope. I think by the end of the day he felt like he done the mud run!! And when we were leaving, he decided to run through the mud. Now his shoes were just completely destroyed. :-)

Pneumonia !

My poor baby Brant got sick this past weekend. His nose started running Sunday. He was so cute. He would sneeze and then tell me that he needed a "bless you."(tissue). Then, Tuesday he started running a fever and just went down hill! I was in Lubbock for work and Mere was staying with him. She called about 4 and said we should probably take him to the dr. She said he climbed up in her lap and asked her when he was going to feel better:(.  Billy got off work and took him to the urgent care. They tested for strep, flu, and then did a chest x ray and saw a small spot of pneumonia!!!! Today we have just been relaxing and watching tv! It has been the best snuggle day. He was so cute, he said I will be better when Jesus comes. We had prayed that morning and night Jesus would come and heal him. And I guess he just was waiting for Jesus to come. I told him that Jesus is always with us and lives in our hearts. He was so sweet, he just smiled and said, yep, Jesus lives in my heart.

Grocery shopping

I had to go to the grocery store today, and I took Brant with me. I did not know how it was going to go, because he actually fell asleep on the way to the store. Instead of turning around, I forged on. I laid him in the cart with a sweatshirt underneath his head and he slept the whole trip. I put the groceries all around him.  He even shivered when I put the milk next to him, but he did not wake up until I was checking out. He said, "Wow, I slept the whole time, did you get any gum?" when he woke up.
