Mud Mud everywhere and Soccer Monster

Brant is our "test the limits" child.  Last night we took a walk to visit the new houses that are being built in our neighborhood.  As we were leaving the house, I walked through what I thought was dirt, but it ended up being a mud pit.  Well, Brant thought it was so cool, and even after we told him to not walk through it, he did.  But, not only did he get his feet dirty, but he fell down and was completely covered to above his waist.  Luckily, the neighbor was out and we borrowed their hose to wash him down.  While we were there, she let out her dog, "Rhett"  and Brant went crazy.  He is the kind of kid that would love to have a dog.  He kept on asking Karen if she could go get a ball for Rhett, and would try to give Rhett a hug.

At Soccer Camp they have different themes every day.  They were:  favorite jersey day, crazy hair day, and crazy sock day.  For favorite jersey day he wore his Kliff Kingsbury jersey, for crazy hair Billy put his hair in a mohawk and he was pumped!  When he got home he said that kids all had their hair a different color and we should do that next time. :) The last day of camp was crazy sock day.  Slade does not get too crazy, so his socks were bright orange, crazy for him.  He told me that his team lost their game the first day, tied the second, so he was hoping for a win today!    He absolutely LOVES soccer.

Brant has been going every morning with Billy to watch the camp, but he does not just sit still and watch.  He likes to play on the field when they take breaks, and then climb up fence.

Summer time= Soccer Camp and the Zoo!!!

This week Slade started Soccer Camp.  He LOVES it!!! I was very nervous that he was not going to like it, but he has done a great job!  He won 3rd place on the first day playing "Red Light, Green Light" then on the 2nd day he got 2nd place!  The day before soccer camp started we took him to Academy and got him shin guards, soccer socks, and new cleats.  He thought it was so cool that you could hit him in the shin and he could not feel it.  Brant lost it that we did not buy him cleats or a soccer ball.  On the first morning of soccer camp, we dropped off Slade and Brant threw the biggest fit!  He wanted to stay and play.  To keep his mind off the soccer camp, I decided to take him to the Zoo with my good friend Lindsay and her son Graham.   I thought this would make him happy, but he just cried and cried and said that he hated the Zoo and Graham.  He is a little stinker.  By the time we pulled up to the zoo, he was sooo excited and just loved hanging out with Graham.  That kid!!!  What are we going to do with him???
