Mainstay Farm

Slade had a field trip last week to Mainstay Farm. It was supposed to be in the fall for the pumpkins, but then it rained and got rescheduled for the Christmas trees in December. Then in December we had an ice storm and it got rescheduled for this spring. It was such a fun time. They had a lot of outdoor activities and Slade played his little heart out. They had a big maze that the kids had to find their way through and a huge wooden playground. It was so much fun. He did say the bus ride took forever to get there.

We beat the Phillies!

Slade has actually become competitive. This year we are on the White Sox, and we were playing the number one team, The Phillies. It was a very rough day. Slade had a field trip to Mainstay Farm and was totally exhausted when he got home. We went to the game and I could just tell that Slade was having one of those days. But, he played great. He never struck out and he got on base every time. 

The Phillies got a triple play though. Slade was on third, and the batter hit it way out into the outfield. The coach decided to send everybody and their outfielder actually caught it. Then they threw it in and tagged both bases and Slade was out. He was very upset. But he scored our winning run. It was such a good game and we beat the number one team. Slade loves to go online to check out the standings we are still number two because they have less losses than us, but we beat them!!
