Casen's 6th Birthday

The Christenson's throw the best birthday parties. Last year it was Wild Krats, and this year it was a minecraft party. Lauren decorates so well and had such cute things for the theme.  The cake was a minecraft block and she even made a huge wall covering that looked like minecraft.  

The boys loved playing outside. They have a huge playset with a sand box. The boys played baseball and just ran all over the yard.  It was such a good time.

The last Pre Kindergarten program.

Brant had his last PreK program. I was so sad, but he was so cute!!!  He asked me about a million times if I was going to go.  I told him yes a million times.  He was so worried that no one would show up.  That morning I told him he had to wear nice shorts and a collared shirt.  He did not want to do that, so we settled on nice shorts and an under armor shirt.  He was in the front row and when he walked in he would not look at us.  He saw us, but it was like he was embarrased.  They sang a cute song to the tune of the 12 days of Christmas.  He was the 1st day and had to sing, "A folder for my papers."  Well, his best friend Jake was right beside him and his part was the 2nd day.  Jake would sing really loud, and then that made Brant sing really loud. It was almost as if they were having a contest who could sing loudest.  

After we went into his classroom for cake and refreshments.  They always make the cutest scrap book for us to remember the year.

Astros made the playoffs!!

Brant is so excited! He is on the Astros this season and they made the playoffs.  He loves baseball so much. The other morning before church he asked if there was enough time to go outside and do 10 pitches.  We sometimes will play for hours.  He will have me throw him all sorts of balls, and then we practice hitting.  He is such a sweet boy.

His team made the playoffs by being in 6th place.  Our first game was against the Orioles. They had already beat us once, but we came ready.  Brant plays short stop and he got the 1st out of the game.  He actually caught a pop fly! It was awesome.  We ended up winning because one inning we held them to only 1 run. In T-ball, whoever does not score 5 runs in an inning usually wins.  So, we made it to playoff round 2.

We played the Diamondbacks last night, who also had beaten us before.  Brant hit and in the park homerun!  He was so excited. Plus, he got a few outs as well.  It was neck and neck for the 1st 4 innings, but finally during the 5th inning we held them to 1!  WE WON! Brant is so excited, because this means he FINALLY gets a trophy.  We play the Braves this Saturday, and they are undefeated.  They already beat us once 20-14, but I believe we can win.  When they got in the car, Brant face timed me because I was in Round Rock for work all week.  The first thing he said was that, "Mama, I get a trophy!!"

Golf Cart!

Well it finally happened.  Billy was able to get a golf cart from some of the kids that he coaches.  The Harris's. They have 3 boys and the youngest just turned 16 and got a car, so they don't need it anymore.  We are so excited, even though it is old, it is camo and gas powered, and the boys LOVE IT.  We surprised them and went over to the Harris's house and then let them see it.  All they want to do is go on rides.  Slade is a great driver, but Brant is horrible and he doesn't like to drive it.  It is going to be so much fun driving around our new neighborhood. 

Tackle Football!

Slade is going to play tackle football this year.  He has been playing 7 on 7 this spring and has really enjoyed it.  He has been playing quarter back and he is really really good.  (I think he is).  We had uniform fittings this past weekend, and he got to try on his pads. We are really excited to see how he does with wearing a helmet.  He uses one with baseball, but this is a totally different ball game.

I can't wait until September!

Marlins Win!!!

Slade is on the last place team this season in baseball.  It is ok, he still loves the game, but we just can't seem to get a break.  We have come so close so many games.  

We are trying to help Slade understand that it is ok he is not winning.  When he was in coach pitch, they won 1st place and got a huge trophy.  It is a good life lesson that sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.

He is doing so great at playing 1st base.  He knows exactly what to do, and gets a lot of the outs during the game.

Well, the other day, we finally won a game 10-9! It was so exciting. Everyone was going crazy!  Slade was so cute, he told me that when it was tied 9-9 he prayed really hard.  I just love my little Slader tot!

Sleeves!

Brant has always been one to dress a little off, but this takes the cake!  These sleeves are very very popular these days, and Brant decided to up his game by wearing one as a leg sleeve. He is so cute, he told me it helped him run FAST!
