House of the sick

We have not had a very healthy start to the new year. 

I had to go out of town this past week, and when I came home Brant was sick. He had a fever and this horrible cough. He was down for the count over the weekend, and we got him a dr appointment for the following Monday. 

They diagnosed him just as a virus, but Slade ended up getting sick later in the week, and he has the flu. He looks horrible. I feel so badly for him. The tamiflu medicine costs $200, and he threw it all up. He said it tastes horrible. I am just hoping the rest of us do not get it, and he gets better.

Skittles

We got a puppy! She is the cutest sweetest little puppy ever. Her name is Skittles and she's a white poodle bichon mix. We just love her to pieces. The boys love to have her chase them in the backyard. They also love to giver her treats. Brant just wants to pick her up non stop. We have to tell him to stop, because he dropped her once, she was ok, but it scared me. 

Playhouse!

For Christmas we got the boys a playhouse. We actually got it from my parent's neighbors. Their son is now older and doesn't use it. It is the biggest playset I have ever seen. When Billy was putting it together it looked bigger than our house. But the boys have played on it nonstop since it is been up even when the weather has been so cold!! Our old playhouse Billy destroyed when we were moving. So I made him take extra care of this one.

Julio's Chips

Slade loves Julio's chips. He told us they are his favorite chips ever. On the chip bag there it says "guarantee you'll love them." Slade was so cute, the other day he looked at the bag and then looked at me and said "Yep, I love them."

A special letter

Brant had the mail man come to his school and talk all about the post office.  He learned all about mailing a letter.  Then, he got to make us a Christmas card and actually mail it.  He was very very excited about mailing us this letter.  He even told Mere that he had a surprise for his mommy and daddy and took her in the other room to tell her what it was.  When we went to get the mail the next day, he about had a heart attack.  He was so happy of his letter he mailed us.

Where is baby Jesus?

Brant had a Preschool Christmas Musical at school.  He had a line in the play, and he said, "Here is another shepherd." Brant is not one to be in the lime light, so he was on the back row for the performance.  He stood there with his arms crossed the entire time.  It was funny.  He just did not want to dance in front of everyone.  I love him so much, he just makes me smile.

John Tyler

Billy's team was picked to lose to John Tyler.  However, our Bearcats came out fighting and ended up just smashing the Lions.  It was such a great game.  We took Slade's best friend Cayden to the game with us, and they had a great time. They love to get on the field at the end of the game and play catch.  After our big win, we went and ate at Rio Mambo. The boys got a little silly. It was such a great day!
