Kindergarten Round 2 graduation.

What a special day! Slade had his Kindergarten graduation this past week. What a difference a year makes. This has been an amazing year. Slade has done so well and he has enjoyed school like no other.
He had been telling us all month about how he was practicing for his graduation. I would ask him to tell me about it, but he would not budge. Then we were over at a friend's house and the moms told me that their sons told them that Slade had a singing part!!!! What???? I asked him about this and he just sweetly smiled and said yes. Billy and I were just wondering what in the world is he going to sing? We could not wait!
Finally it was the day. We got to the school early, took our seats and waited. There were so many people there, the room got stifling hot. Then the program started. The kids sang a few songs and then Slade went to the microphone. His song was the sweetest song ever. It was, "you are the best dad in the world." Oh my, we both were crying. He did such a good job.

After the singing, they called each student's name and said what they wanted to be when they grew up, where they wanted to live, and what their favorite part of kindergarten was.
Slade wanted to be a fireman, live in a two story house, and his favorite part of kinder was the drop in the bucket math sheets.
Slade is just wonderful. We thank God every day that he gave us him as a son. After that, we had his kinder party out on the big play ground. Brant got to come and he thought he owned the place. He even got in trouble by Mr. Shelton for trying to sneak past where only the students could go...

Birthday party at Mainstay Farm

Brant got invited to a party this weekend at Mainstay Farm. He had such a good time. He was so brave and went down the 100 foot slide, climbed to the top of the 3 story tree house, and went through the maze. We had such a good time together. On the way home it was raining and he was so worried about not parking in the garage and having to run in the rain. He is such a sweet boy!!

Career Day

This week Slade had career day at school. Billy of course wanted him to be a coach, but Slade wanted to be a Fireman. It was so funny/sad for Billy because he asked him, "do you want to be a coach?" And Slade said, "no, not really." I think Billy was a little heartbroken. We borrowed a fireman jacket from a friend and he looked cute. It was kinda crazy, because under his  fireman suit he ended up wearing the same thing Billy did that day. The same bearcat shirt and black shorts. I guess he was a coach after all.

Puppy Manziela

Brant loves Johnny Manziel, and he also is now loving Rocky Balboa. The other night Rocky 4 was on and Brant watched it with us. Typical Brant though, he now wants to be the bad boxer, not Rocky. But, he has now named his beloved puppy, Puppy Manziela. Then his other bear is now Beary Bad guy. He is just a mess.... We love him so much!

Night night sleep tight.

Brant fell asleep the other night with all of his stuff animals all around him. He looks so snuggly.

Johnny Football... Brant Manziel

Our little Brant, Is obsessed with Johnny Manziel. He will ask Billy to watch YouTube videos of him playing football. He even knows what number he is, number 2 of course... He tells me that is an easy question. He knows that he's playing for the Browns in the NFL. And he knows he played for the Aggies. He will even do the gig em sign. My mother is not too happy about that. But all in all, I think it's pretty darn cute. He is so sweet!!!! I think I like Johnny Manziel just because Brant does.

Meatloaf is made of what?????

Tonight I made meatloaf for dinner. Cowboy casserole is one of Slade's  favorite things for dinner. It is basically meatloaf with a layer of mashed potatoes topped with cheese and bacon bits! Yum O!!!! But tonight as I was making meatloaf, I was mixing the meat, the eggs, sauce and crackers in a large bowl. Slade came up to me and asked what I was making. I told him, "meatloaf."  The look he gave me was priceless.... I guess he did not know what meatloaf was made of... He is too funny.
