Our life in a nutshell. September-October

We are off and running with school.  Brant had to create a place mat with picture of our family.  He absolutely LOVES it.  He did not want to leave it at school.  The teachers laminated it and then they eat on it every day.  He thinks he is a football man, so he just had to put all football pictures on it.

This is the funniest picture of Brant.  His teachers made a laminated sheet of all the kids in his class, and this is the picture they chose.  Billy thinks he looks like "The Shining."
The big cow on FM 1187.  We had to have a picture.
Brant thinks he is a "Football Man" as he calls it.  We found this uniform and he asks to wear it daily.  Also, before we go to sleep at night, he prays for the football mans, the wildcat, helmets, footballs, basically anything to do with football.
 Touchdown!!!
I have had the opportunity to eat lunch with Slade a few times during the school year.  He always wants his friend Cole to eat with us.
Slade CAN READ!!!!  This was his first book that he read!!! Yay!! We are so proud.
Brant on picture day.  I fixed his hair and his friend Marysa walked up to him and patted his hair. I think they are all used to his wild hair.

Football,Football, Football!!

Football is here and Slade and Brant couldn't be more excited! They love to go to the games. Slade is actually starting to get the game and will tell me when we get a first down and what direction we need to go to get a touch down.  Brant just likes watching the football players and seeing the big wildcat that they run through.  Last game, the mascot wildcat scared Brant to death and he will not get close to him. Brant was on the bleachers and I saw the wildcat approaching and Brant screamed and tried to jump off the stairs!! Good thing I caught him.  He also does not like the trainer Duke.  Duke has a big red beard and Brant will see him on the field and say, "There is Duke."  He will not get close to him!!  Brant is also so in LOVE with football. When we go to sleep at night he prays every night for the wildcat, the football man, and the coach house.   My mom took him to see Billy the other night when I was out of town and he told her, "This is the coach house, where my daddy lives."

Brant

He is soo silly!! He put on Poppy's glasses!

He likes to hid in the covers.

And he likes to dance!!!

Club House

We finally got a playhouse!!!  We did not tell Slade or Brant until Billy pulled up with it.  Slade lost it! He was so excited, he was just jumping up and down.  Then, when Brant woke up, he saw them putting it together and ran outside!!!  They just love swinging on the swings and playing in the clubhouse up top!

Cozumel

We got to spend some time away from the boys this year and go to Cozumel with our neighbors. It was a lot of fun.  The boys spent the time with my parents, and had a great time.  The best thing about our hotel was there was free wifi, so I got to keep in touch with them. My mom would send me pictures of t the sweet things they did.
Here we are on the plane ready to land.

In Cozumel, you fly in and then have to walk on the tarmac to the airport. It was fun flying over Playa Del Carmen and seeing all the resorts.
The cruise ship terminal was a few miles from our hotel, and the cruise ships would pass by in the evenings on their way out to sea.
Billy enjoying a drink at the swim up bar.
 Billy paddleboarding.
We went to Paradise Beach one day, and they had all these fun things in the water. We played all morning long.
 Us at Paradise Beach.

 Our hotel.
While we were in Cozumel, the boys did fun things like, color outside.
 color inside,
 lick beer salt,
 make muffins,
 play ball,
 drink chocolate milk,
 play at Mere and Poppies,
and play games outside!

Florida or Bust!

We went to Florida to visit Billy's mom this June.  Slade was so excited on the way to the terminal.  He just looked out the window the whole time.
 Brant stayed by daddy.
We had a great flight to Tampa. Our computer worked and Slade played games the whole way down.  When we landed, the pilot said, "Welcome to Tampa," and Slade looked confused.  He said, " I thought we were going to Florida?"  Then, he asked me if the airplane was going to drop us off at the beach.  He is so cute!!

Brant slept the whole way, and he wore these earphones.  He plugged them into the slot and listened to music until he fell asleep.
A picture from the plane when we have almost landed.
Venice Beach!! We stopped by this beach on the way to Billy's moms so we could look for shark teeth.  We did not find any, but the water was beautiful and the boys had fun. We did not have a towel or a change of clothes and there was sand everywhere!!
Brant being slow.  He always wants us to "Hold you" I think it is the sweetest thing that he says.
Playing in the water.  It was so nice!

We went out on the boat the first day we were there.  Slade loved it, Brant was a little hesitant.  He did not like the big bumps.  Slade loves to fish!!!
All ready with our life jackets!!

Brant wanted to drive the boat.
He had a great time, when the boat was stopped...
Brant and daddy enjoying the boat ride.
 More and more fishing.
 Brant's turn.
We stopped at a beach and anchored the boat, then we had to jump out and wade to shore.  Slade was sooo brave, he would swim back out to the boat and then jump off the boat!! He is not like me at all... I would never swim in open water!!
On our way back to the dock, we saw dolphins!!  It was very cool!!  Brant even recognized them, and then someone had a dolphin float and he kept on saying, "dolphins, dolphins!!"
We went to Siesta Key Beach, the #1 beach in America.  The water is beautiful and the sand is white!!
This is a beach boy!!!!  He did not want to leave!
He even let us bury him in the sand.
Of course, Brant had to be buried too.
 "Hey Bubba, bury my arm.."
Brant playing the drums, buried in the sand.
 We love the beach!
The last day Billy went fishing and I took the boys to an aquarium type place with Billy's mom.
This was a little pond that you walked over and there were fish and turtles.
Of course, we found the interactive sports games.

Brant liked the alligator.  This shows his personality, he was saying, "WHOA!!!"

A quick picture of Slade touching the snake, notice it is one finger...
We played a lot of Yahtzee on the trip.  Slade finally got a Yahtzee and he was sooo excited!!
All 1's!!
A few pictures from outside Nana's house.

The big bird the boys loved.

Airport playground!! The best invention ever!  We were of course early to get to the airport, and after the beating of Brant during security, we were glad to see this.  Brant during security just screamed and screamed. He did not like his backpack to go through the scanning.
