Party Time, Scoop Me, and Mowing!

Fire Truck Party! Our neighbor CJ had his 6th birthday party this past weekend. A fire truck came and sprayed the kids and then let them each have a turn using the hose!! Slade LOVED it!!

All the kids playing in the stuff that they spray

Waiting to be sprayed!!

Sweet Fireman Slade!!!

The boys in the big chair at Scoop Me!! They loved it!!
Scoop me is a place that has ice cream and goodies. We shared a large and had it topped with M& M's and Reeses. Brant was in heaven!!

After Scoop Me, we walked over to the little park and played on the swings.

Brant had the cutest little laugh when he was swinging! I think it was taking his stomach away.

Cute little swings.

Slade gets sooo excited about mowing. He will tell me that one day when he is older, he will get to mow the yard by himself. This is a cute picture of all the boys mowing our yard. Even Brant joined in.

Most of July

One day I found Slade reading to Brant. He was reading a Berenstein Bear book. Slade got a bag of our next door neighbor's clothes. He immediately tried them on. This is what he came up with. Then Brant had to get in a picture. Slade loves to give Pickles a bath. I had to take this picture because Brant was trying to give Slade a kiss through the window. So sweet! We went to Hibbit Sports and the boys tried on some sunglasses. Slade got his mustache from Cici's pizza. He looks like he is going to arrest someone. Brant will just float in the pool. He has even jumped off the side and the diving board. He has no fear of the water.

Slade swimming!!! He is a little fish now! He will jump off the side and off the diving board. He makes noise with his mouth like he is blowing bubbles. I think it is a comfort thing when he is in the water!Big jump off the side. This has been a different summer than last year. Slade would not even step foot in the pool without screaming. Now he LOVES it. Brant got the box of cereal out of the trash and put it on his head. He even went through the trash one time and found a strawberry and started to eat it. He will eat anything!!!

I walked outside one day and Slade was leaning against the side of the house. He looked at me and said, "Howdy Momma." Precious!

And Honey Brant in some nerdy glasses. He knew he looked cute!

Brant is a climber! He was on top of the work bench pulling down the pictures. He even got on top of the toy chest and pulled down Slade's contruction pictures.

Brant likes to play with the salad spinner and decided to just get in it.

We went to Austin over the weekend of May 13-14 for Billy's state track meet. It was interesting. We had fun, but it was not really worth the trip. The pictures are a little out of order but we stopped at a Farmers market and Slade got to hold some animals. On Friday night, we went to eat at a very popular restaurant in Austin, and the wait was soooo long and there was not a good place for the boys to run and play. The hotel we stayed in was not a good place for little kids. They did not have ANY cartoon channels and the pool area was crowded with people like it was Spring Break. Slade did love that the hotel was huge and we would play the "elevator" game. You play by picking an elevator and you win if your elevator is the one that opens. Brant even played. :)This is a cute little picture of the boys after a bath in the hotel. So Sweet.

Not only was it a long wait at the restaurant, but it was HOT!

Us in the little wait area.

Brant wanted to follow Slade, and as you can see, there is a lake behind us. So we could not let them go back there because they could of just fallen through the fence into the water. Slade telling us it is OK!

Look at those curls!

Oh, another thing that our hotel had was a HUGE elevator. I think we went up and down it probably 100 times. At first I let Slade go by himself, but then when he got up to the top, I panicked and he did a little too, and I did not want him to fall all the way down. Slade also loved the revolving door.

Slade finally got the hang of it.

This is us on Mother's day at my grandmas.Little picture of Brant.
