Happy Last Day of school!

Today is Slade's last day of school! He has had a great first grade year. It is been so fun and he has learned so much. To celebrate he's having a friend spend the night and we're going to the waterpark.

Rey Mysterio

Brant got a new costume. It is a wrestler name Ray Mysterio. He was so excited to get it. He checked the mail for it every day, and when it finally came he was so happy. It is a pretty funny costume because it has a tattoo on it that says Mexican. I feel like it would offend some people. He was so cute when he would check the mail. He would get so sad, and even cry because it did not come. The mail lady even got into it, and the day that it came, she surprised him! 

Creature Power

Brant had a birthday party this weekend is good friend Casen's house. Casen loves the wild Kratz and they had a wild Kratz themed party. His mom Lauren did such a good job with all of the games in the food. Brant had such a fun time. He loved the game where they had to pretend like they had a tail and run around and pull each other's tails off. 

Brave hearted Boys Conference

I was so excited, our church finally had a conference for little boys and their moms. We went to a church in Fort Worth and had a super Friday evening. The theme was superheroes and the boys just had the best time. They taught how there are three steps the boys can do to become more godly. They talked about signing off the villains how to be true and how to always do the right thing. Slade had so much fun and we actually bought him a comic Bible that we have been doing every night.

All asleep, snuggled up.

The boys fell asleep so quick tonight. We did their bible study, and then they were out! Even skittles snuggles with them. We had such a busy day. We went to church and came home to start the clean up from our mini tornado yesterday. I just love these two boys of mine. They make me so happy!

Swimming

The boys decided they wanted to go swimming yesterday. It was not too cold outside, but it has been raining non stop, so the water is Cold!!! Slade is so brave and cute! He asked if we wanted to see him jump in. Of course we did! And he did it!!! Brant wanted to be cool like his brother, but he only inched his way in. Billy is out of town in Lubbock for the Regional track meet, so we are missing him this weekend. We have baseball games today. Slade plays the Pirates, the #1 team. He is so nervous. He told me that he needs to eat a really good breakfast this morning. 

Tornado!

Last night we had a tornado roll through Aledo. It came so fast that we didn't have any time to prepare. Slade, Brant and me were in the hallway by the pantry, and Billy was in the garage watching it all happen. Brant was asleep most of the time. We had two trees snapped in half and our fence blew over. It was so scary!! Slade has become a meteorologist, and a loves to learn all about the weather. He knows all types of tornadoes and weather patterns. He is just so smart!
