Look a likes

We were sending Nana a letter for Christmas and the boys put their school pictures inside it. Then we got Billy's school pictures and we noticed that Brant and Billy had on the same color shirts and they had the exact same smile. It was too funny. It looked like a little miniature Billy. And Slade school picture looks like he has red hair like his daddy.

State 2014

Aledo won state again! We beat Temple 49-45!!! 

We had just such a great day. We left at 9 o'clock in the morning and got to the stadium at 10. I need to tell myself to calm down because I just could've got out of the car and looked at the stadium to see where the entrance was. But I was so nervous that I walked the entire distance around the stadium carrying Brant. When we got to the entrance we had to wait about 20 minutes In the cold and drizzle. The other team Temple, had lots of fans outside the stadium and they were all loud and shouting that they were going to beat us. When they finally opened the doors I had my mom walk with the boys and I hightailed it in to the stadium. I went to the Aledo side and found seats on the 40 yard line. Last year I remembered that you could take a picture and then tweet it with the hash tag #uilsate, and you had a chance that they would post your picture on the Jumbotron. Well this year the boys got their picture on the Jumbotron. I sent out a crazy picture with them making funny faces and it made the big spot on the Jumbotron. They were so excited. At the end of the game we tried to get down on the field because we had passes but the fourth quarter was so nerve-racking that we did not make it down on the field in time. The workers were not nice and kept on telling me we waited too late. We finally found an elevator that went down to the field and made it late but at least we got to take a picture with Billy. He was so mad that they weren't letting us on the field that he threw a fit to some of the workers. Go Aledo!!!

MoHawks!

Billy's football team has made it to the playoffs. We are two games away from state and Billy told the boys he would shave his head and a mohawk if they won Quarter finals. Well they won and so Billy had to shave his head. Well Brant saw him doing it and the next day he wanted a mohawk too. Now he is not too sure about it. Slade did not want to shave his head, he just wanted to make a mohawk with gel. When Billy was done shaving Brant's head, he said that he flipped out and started worrying that people were going to think it was silly at school.  Hopefully he can just wear a hat and not worry about it.

Slade and the dentist

Slade went to the dentist today for the 1st time. The office is really cool and has video games, movies, check boards, toys, etc. He was really nervous. He had a loose tooth and he was afraid they were going to pull it. He did not have any cavities!!!

Basketball

Slade is now playing basketball. We are trying to get him in as many sports as possible so he can try them all. He had his first practice last night. He loved it! His coach is actually in person we went to high school with. I can't wait to see how he does.

He has had so much fun at practice. His favorite game is dribble tag. It is where you dribble the ball and try to swipe the ball out of other peoples hands. Brant loves going to practice, but he is sad he doesn't get to play with him. So he just stands around and watches or sits on his ball and pays close attention.

Turkey Trot 2014

Every year we run the turkey trot in Alito. The boys will run the 1 mile fun run with me, And then they will walk the 5K with my parents. It is such a fun time and a great tradition.

Picture changing

Brant has learned how to change the wallpaper on my phone. He found a picture of himself sitting on the toilet and put it as my back drop. He told me he loves this picture because it's a picture of him taking a dump...
