Four in the bed.
We have never been good at sleep training our kids. When Slade was 3 months or so, we attempted to let him cry it out. It was just plain awful and he cried for hours. I can remember watching the monitor and he would just fall over because he was exhausted and then just pop right back up crying away. When Brant was born, he did a little better, but still sleeps with us. We did not even try to get him to sleep I his own bed... We just gave in from the start. Slade, now in Kindergarten round 2, sleeps in his own bed, but occasionally he climbs in bed with us. It does not bother us at all. We just are the kinds of people that our kids sleep with us... Oh well. This picture was the other night and they looked sooo snuggly.

Coach House Fun
We probably go up to the coach house at least 3 to 4 times a week after school. The boys love playing in the indoor and LOVE playing Cool Math Games on Billy's computer. While we were waiting for Billy to get off the computer we had a little fun with tape and a sharpie. I did not let them have these mustaches on long, I was afraid they would inhale too much of the sharpie...

Billy's new truck.
We got Billy a new truck this weekend. The boys were so excited that it was four-wheel-drive. I don't think they even know what four-wheel-drive means. Slade thought it was funny because all cars have four wheels. Slade's only request is that we did not get a white truck. We went to the dealership they had so much fun climbing in and out of the back of trucks. We finally found a black four-door GMC. The truck is so much fun, it even has Bluetooth so the boys can call me and talk along with Billy. It is so much fun to hear them all on the phone at once.

Happy birthday Billy!
The boys wanted to surprise their daddy for his birthday. My mom bought a cake, and the boys were waiting for Billy to get home from work. They built a barricade so that my mom could get the candles lit before he came into the house. I think they found everything that we had laying around and built it up so he could not get in. They were so excited to celebrate with their daddy!
Flight deck
Today I took Brant to flight deck. I had worked all week and was ready for some time with my little angel. He was so excited, when I told him it was time to leave at home he said "Finally!" Then when we got there he said I'm going to jump in foam pit. And he did, he went right up and jumped in! After 45 minutes of jumping he was ready for ice cream. What a great morning.

Runner's Club
At Slade's elementary school, they have a club called Runner's club. It is after school and the kids are preparing for a 5K. It was the first day, and it was too cold to go outside. So the PE teacher held it in the gym and we played games and did a few line dances. Brant went with me and we had a great time. Here are a few pictures of them doing the cotton eye Joe. They couldn't quite get it but it was fun.
Merry Christmas 2013
Merry Christmas 2013!!!
What a great Christmas! We won the state championship, broke a few national records, and Billy is now home for the holidays!! We have our traditions for Christmas and they start with church on Christmas Eve, followed by dinner and present opening at my parents. We always have tamales, I made the taco soup this year.
The boys got bikes from my parents, WWE wrestlers, marker airbrush, and Spiderman stuff from the cousins. We had a special treat this year and the grand kids read the Christmas story. Since Brant can't read, I told him what to say and he would repeat every few words.
We came home around 10, and got ready for bed and waited for Santa to come. On our TV they had a Santa tracker and we knew he was getting close. When we went to bed he was over South Carolina. I don't know how they fell asleep, they were so excited.
Santa brought the boys Doggie Doo, and Domino rally. We got the boys Legos Nerf guns, hot wheels, bats and balls, tennis equipment, a few board games. They had a blast finding their presents and unwrapping them. About noon we got dressed and headed to my parents for lunch. After we ate, we went to Big Pop's house. Brant fell asleep in the car and we finally got him up by telling him he had a present to unwrap. Big Pop got the boys Nerf Guns.
