We went to Austin over the weekend of May 13-14 for Billy's state track meet. It was interesting. We had fun, but it was not really worth the trip. The pictures are a little out of order but we stopped at a Farmers market and Slade got to hold some animals. On Friday night, we went to eat at a very popular restaurant in Austin, and the wait was soooo long and there was not a good place for the boys to run and play. The hotel we stayed in was not a good place for little kids. They did not have ANY cartoon channels and the pool area was crowded with people like it was Spring Break. Slade did love that the hotel was huge and we would play the "elevator" game. You play by picking an elevator and you win if your elevator is the one that opens. Brant even played. :)This is a cute little picture of the boys after a bath in the hotel.So Sweet.

Brant wanted to follow Slade, and as you can see, there is a lake behind us. So we could not let them go back there because they could of just fallen through the fence into the water. Slade telling us it is OK!

Oh, another thing that our hotel had was a HUGE elevator. I think we went up and down it probably 100 times. At first I let Slade go by himself, but then when he got up to the top, I panicked and he did a little too, and I did not want him to fall all the way down. Slade also loved the revolving door.

Run Walk or Crawl

I participated in the Run Walk or Crawl in Aledo last weekend. The boys came to cheer me on. They had so many fun things for them to do. Slade loved the bounce house.

It's all about you!!!

Billy has been bugging me about not making the blog.... Of course.... Our lives all revolve around him. So here is a tribute to you! I love you so much! I can remember the when I knew I was going to be with you forever, you were walking back from football practice crossing the road in between the baseball field and the high school. We weren't even together then, but I told my mom that I was going to follow you to college and marry you. Funny how you followed me to college. I think you are the bee's knees, the cat's pajamas, and you are my wonderwall.

Bearcat Park!

This was Brant's second visit to Bearcat Park, but the first one were he could walk. He did not know quite what to expect until he saw how much fun Slade was having.
He got under every little crevice. He liked the little spaces where he could crawl.

Slade likes it when I push him really high and then run underneath him. It makes me get a workout!!

They really liked the sand. Hopefully that means they willl LOVE the beach.

The hole that is on the wall is like a sound tunnel. I talk on the one that is on the ground and Slade talks back to me. Slade will say, "I love you." So cute!

Easter Fun!

We played Easter bunny all night long and hid the eggs over and over. Brant is getting the pink egg on the window sill.

Brant got a new 4 wheeler that was more his size from the Easter Bunny. Hopefully this will help him not want Slade's. He does really well on it, except he can't steer and he won't pick up his feet.
