One walks, one can't!!!

We have a walker!!!! Brant took his first steps on Friday, February 25th. We were at Crossfit and he just walked to a medicine ball!!! He loves the medicine balls there. He also thinks he runs the place. He will dance and just crawl around. Slade thinks it is soooo cute. He will say, "Mommy, Brant is walking!!" I feel so blessed. Well, Slade has hurt his knee. It is the one on the right. I don't know how he did it, but he woke up Monday morning and could not walk. I felt horrible, because I made him try to walk. He kept on telling me that he fell off the slide at the park. But, the weird thing is we came home Sunday night and he jumped on the trampoline and rode his 4 wheeler. We think that it must of started to swell over night. When I picked him up from Ms. Brennas, he got big tears in his eyes. He was just in so much pain.

Billy took off work and took him to Cooks. He wanted to ride in the wheel chair, so they gave him a ride. Here he is acting so sad on the couch. He asked me, "Mommy, will I ever walk again?" It broke my heart.
Slade got a cobra snake at Abigaile's birthday party at Chucky Cheese. He thought it was really funny and stuck it in his brace.

Brant loves the dryer, and in the next two pictures you will see that he is not too happy with Slade being in it!

Slade and his pants!!!Slade is sooo silly. He loves to wear "comfy pants." This is a couple of pictures of when he put on 9 pairs of pants!! He was sooo cute, he would go into his room and then come out saying, "Another pair." I can't believe he got on 9 pairs!!!!

The other night when we washed the sheets before we put them on the bed, we put them on Brant when they were nice and warm. He LOVED it!!!! He would just lay on them and say, "ahh." He even put them over his head!!

Not only does Brant like to crawl in the sheets, he has managed to crawl in the dryer!!! He loves the laundry room because Pickles food is there. He likes to put the food into the water. Sometimes he even likes to try to eat a few pieces!!! YUCK! But, if the laundry room door is open, he will book it there.

You can barely see Brant by the couch in this picture. He loves to ride on the Winnie the Pooh toy and have Slade push him. I think we pushed him around the room at least a hundred times. When he got to area by our kitchen he would scream really loud and wave!!! He is soo cute!

I was at Cotillion and Billy sent me this picture! I hate to miss bath time.

Snow Week!!!!

Wow! What a crazy past few weeks we have had. Last week, we missed 4 days of school due to snow and ice, and this week we missed yesterday. It has been sooo much fun. Every day last week when I would get the call that we did not have school, Slade and I would do a snow dance!!! We were home so much and the boys got used to me being around, and the first day back when I dropped them off at Brennas, was terrible. They cried and cried. But, as soon as I walked out the door, they were fine. :)

This is Slade on his 4 wheeler. He feel off of it and got a tiny scrape on his hand, but he acted like his whole hand was going to fall off. The funny part was that Billy was pushing him and Billy wiped out, so Billy was more hurt than Slade.

Slade and I would play in the backyard where the aerobic sprinklers would go off and it was really icy. He liked trying to slip and fall.

We were snowed in from Monday night until Sat., and Slade and Billy got a little cabin fever....

My aunt Peggy gave Slade these finger puppets of the manger. Slade had them on his fingers saying, "We love you baby Jesus." It was funny.

There was so much static in our house from it being so dry, even Pickles hair stood up!

These next two pictures are of our family tower. Slade loves to do stuff as a family. He will always say things like, family hug, or in this case, family tower. Brant is always on top, but in the first picture he had fallen off.

I took the boys to Chick Fil A the other night while Billy was at the basket ball games. They were happy, even though they are not smiling in this picture.

This is one of my favorites from the break. Slade will hug and kiss Brant at random times. Mostly when Brant is asleep, he will give him a quick sugar.

Brant LOVES to throw this orange ball and chase it all over the house. He even will play catch with you for a minute or two. Maybe he will be a baseball player???

We did not let Brant go outside with Slade, but he would just sit at the window and watch Slade play.

We finally let him go out with Billy and check the mail.

This is just a cute picture because they both have tobagons on. It was such a fun break. It made me want to stay home! They are just so cute and precious!

Bubba and Teeth!

It has been so cold lately that we have not gone outside and played much, but we got to go spend a few hours outside this weekend, and this is a hunk of ice that was in Slade's dump truck.

Brant can't walk yet, but he likes to crawl all over the drive way and pick up sticks. I have to watch him closely because he will put acorns and sticks in his mouth. Yuck! Then, last night Brant crawled towards Slade and said, "Bubba, Bubba." It was precious! This morning, he was crawling around the living room say, "Dadda." My boys are just angels, I love them sooo much!

Oh, and Brant's top right tooth poked through this weekend.

Another Ear infection!!!!

We have had an interesting week. Brant had another ear infection! Bless his heart, he has felt awful, but things are finally turning around and he is playing again. This weekend he could not be put down and would cry and cry.
This is a picture of our "toy room." It is filled with Slade's geo traxs. Slade does not like for Brant to go in his toy room because Brant will just crawl all over the trains and pick them up and tear the whole track apart. If you notice, Slade has a mad face. He was so mad that Brant was in the room. ha ha ha.

Slade decided to put the potato head glasses and hat on... He is soo cute!! Look how serious he is .

After Slade put them on, we decided that Pickles would be the perfect fit!!!!

The difference between Slade and Brant can be seen in these next two pictures. Slade is very serious and Brant is wild!!! He is into everything. He loves the fireplace also. I now wish we would of built it a little higher. He will just crawl in there and hang out!!!!!! Good thing we have not started any fires yet. He would be all covered in ash.
Last night, I gave Brant green beans and he ate them!!! It was a miracle!

A month worth of stuff

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! This is a picture of Slade on his new 4 wheeler! We had a great Christmas break. As always, we go to church Christmas Eve and then to open presents with my parents. Santa brought the kids bikes and Caroline and Slade rode in the garage with Poppy. Then we wake up Christmas morning at our house and open presents, then to Billy's Popa's house for chinese Christmas. Then for round 3 at my parents for dinner.

So much has gone on in the past month! This is a picture of when Billy got home with the boys. Brant is passed smooth out. During Christmas, Slade would not take off his santa hat. He even had his picture taken with Santa with it on. Brant also has been pushing the chairs as a form of exercise! He has fallen once and now I get real nervous.

Jump ahead to New Year's Day for this picture. Slade and Riley are playing on the i phone while we all watch the TCU game. They were sooo cute. They would chase each other around and had a great time!

Slade got his hair cut over the break. He has such thin hair that we can't buzz it just yet, but he did get a 4 on the sides. He is sooo precious! I can't believe how much he has grown and how much he learns. We went to my grandmas and he read her apartment number. 253!

We also made a ginger bread house during the break. I think now it will be a tradition!

Brant LOVES hats! He will try to put one on if it is around and he knows that he looks precious in them. He will just grin and grin!

We kept putting bows on Brant's head while we were unwrapping gifts. I guess this is what Brant would of looked like if he was a girl.

My boys love to snuggle. If Brant is not in bed with us, Slade will always ask where he is and if we can go get him. He is such a good big brother. He will give him kisses and hold his hand in the car. ;)

This is how I grocery shop these days. I strap Brant in and they drive!

Brant got his two bottom teeth! Finally!

Slade still loves to tell train stories.

If Slade is talking about yesterday he calls it "lasterday"

Brant has started eating puffs.

Brant has had 2 double ear infections. YUCK.

Trains, Santa, Swings, Kisses

We have had a fun few weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Slade has loved listening to Christmas music and his all time favorites are: Grandma got run over by a reindeer and the Muppets 12 days of Christmas. He will just go around the house singing. He will sing, "Jingle Bell Jingle Rock... " So stinkin cute.

Slade is tooooo big for the baby swings. Makes me sad!

I took the boys to the park this week because it was great weather and Brant had his first experience with the swings. He LOVED them. He would just laugh and scream. He thought Slade was hilarious swinging so high. He loves his brother. In the mornings, he will crawl next to Slade and put his head on him. It makes my heart melt.

Brant has started to give kisses. He is just so sweet and smart. These are pics of us giving him a kiss, and of course, Slade is trying to eat his head....

We also took the boys to see Santa. Slade was so excited! He even wore his Santa hat. Brant just loved watching Slade, so he was not scared. Then, Billy, Brant, and Slade rode the train around the mall. I don't know if I have mentioned before, but Slade LOVES trains!!!He almost had a heart attack waiting for the train to come around. He has even started to watch Polar Express a million times. In the car, he will ask you to tell him train stories. I think Billy and I have told him over a hundred. If he hears a train, he wants you to pull over so he can watch it.
