1 month!
Steel Jack turned 1 month on December 8th! I can't believe he has been in our lives for a month! He is just the best baby. He is laid back and really only cries if he is hungry or needs to be changed. He likes to take his bath, watch his brothers, and sit in his daddies lap. We love him so much!
Spelling Bee!
Slade is one of the top spellers in his grade. They had to take a test and he scored a 100! His teacher told me that he was the only one out of his two classes to make a perfect score! Since he did so well, he was chosen to participate in the spelling bee for Stuard Elementary. We studied a 2 page long list of words, and we were amazed at how well he did. Billy and I are not spellers at all.
The day of the Spelling Bee finally came, and Billy took him to get a new outfit to wear. He got a new pair of blue jeans and converse shoes. He looked sharp!
We were so nervous! I just did not want him to get out on the first round. The first round came and he spelled his word! The second round he made it! His word was paint. Third round he spelled varsity correctly. Fourth round he spelled cavalcade correctly. The fifth round his word was perpetrator and he spelled it perpAtrator. He got out. But, he was the 5th person left. We are so proud of him!!!

STREP!!
Branty Haze came down with strep throat this past week. I noticed on Thursday that he was overly tired. I just thought it had to do with him playing outside in the really cold, but by Friday night, he had a temperature of 102.8! Friday night was Aledo's semi final game, and we went to watch it at my parents. Brant fell asleep at half time, and that is not like him at all. He was so sad that he was sick because he had his Championship game on Saturday morning for flag football. His team ended up winning, but he did not get to go.
We did go to the Urgent care down town and he was diagnosed with strep. He thought it was the best place ever because they gave popsicles. He was so afraid of having his throat swabbed. He did great though. It only took about 2 minutes to convince him to do it.

Getting so strong and smiling!
We do tummy time every day with Steel and he is getting so strong! He will lift his head up a little more and more each day. He also is beginning to smile. Today, I said, "Peek a boo" and he gave me a little grin. He is also starting to see things better. I have noticed that he will look at the toys that are dangling from his car seat or bouncer.
3 in the bed!
Our boys love our bed. They always want to come get in bed and snuggle with us. We have a permanent pallet at the end of our bed for them to sleep on, but usually, they will ask really sweetly if they can lay with us. Steel has not started to sleep with us yet, but we will put him in bed with us in the mornings and cuddle.
Bathtime!
Steel had his first bath! Finally his circumcision fell off and we were able to give him a bath. He loves baths. We will usually give him one around 9 and he just loves to lay there and have the water poured over him. After we bathe him, I will feed him and then we put him down in his rock and play. Usually he does not fall asleep, but he will just lay there and look around. Then, I will usually feed him again before we go to bed and he falls asleep. He is such a noisy sleeper though, around 2 or 3, he will start to grunt and make all kinds of noises.
Legos galore!
The boys asked if we could dumped out their lego box to see what legos were at the bottom. It made a gigantic mess! With them all dumped out, they played all day long, building and creating things. At the very end of the day when it was time to put them up, they had a lego challenge to see who could walk across them! It was so funny.
Super Moon!
This past week the moon was at the closest to the Earth as it has been since 1948. The boys thought it was so cool. We took a few pictures! Brant of course thought it would be funny to "moon" the camera!
Day 15
I did not get out of my pajamas today. Steel had a rough night. I ate guacamole and enchiladas and it seemed upset his stomach. But yesterday I did a workout and ran 4 miles so it's all good.
Daddy's shaved head
Billy likes to shave his head crazy whenever it is football playoff time. He does it so his players get pumped up! One year he bleached it blonde, which was really funny. But, this year he they shaved it, and then put a design on the sides. I thought with his head shaved Steel looked just like him! But, Steel did not want to smile for the camera.
